Who we are

This website is operated by Olivier Longville and Kelly Vrielynck, owners of the holiday home Maison des Lacs Bleus, 18 Rue des Bruyères, 16480 Guizengaerd, France.

What data we collect

When you submit a booking request, we process your name, email, phone number and number of guests — strictly to handle the booking and communicate with you.

We do not share this data with third parties, except for Resend (transactional email delivery) and Neon (database hosting) — both based in the EU/EEA.

Retention

Booking data is kept for a maximum of 7 years (tax retention requirement in Belgium). After that period, it is permanently deleted.

Cancelled or expired bookings are also kept for 7 years for administrative follow-up.

Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies, in two categories:

• Strictly necessary: for storing your language preference and (if you book) booking status. These are placed automatically as they are required for basic functionality.

• Analytics (optional): Google Analytics 4 (GA4) anonymously tracks how visitors use the site (which pages, how long, device type). IP addresses are anonymised. These cookies are placed only after your explicit consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or transfer your data at any time. Send your request to olivier.longville@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Belgium: the Data Protection Authority).

External services

The homepage loads Google reviews via the Google Places API and — with your consent — Instagram photos via the Meta Graph API. Both services may keep technical logs according to their own privacy policies.
